Getting ready for the BIG move.

January 11, 2011

It's been over three years in the making, but we are finally getting our new house ready to move into. This thing has been a bear. It's made out of concrete and is full of really big rooms. It is heated by the sun and has a great view of the Frontline shop. Which, by the way, means I will be close to where we build the drums. That should increase our production capacities by a long shot. We apoligize if you have tried to make contact or get ahold of us lately. We're actually the ones doing the work and there is no internet currently at that facility. We apoligize to all of those that have been waiting for their drums. Our deadline to get into this house is February 1st and then production begins again. If you absolutely need to get ahold of us before then the best way is by phone at 515-770-6132. We again apoligize about the poor communication to inquiring drummers. Frontline drums will be up and in full swing starting in February. Oh, did we mention that we have also been developing our own die cast parts, including: our patented lugs, our own super cool trade marked die cast hoops, mounts that match our lugs and some bass drums spurs that will that all your frustrations away. Look for these and many more MADE IN AMERICA parts, exclusively from Frontline Custom Drums.

Thanks for your patience,

Be Blessed,

Kim and Scott

Gearing up for Cornerstone

June 1, 2010

Well it's three years in the making, but we've finally reached an agreement. Frontline drums will be the official drum backline supplier for the Cornerstone Festilval. We don't usually just build kits to have sittin' around, but we really love backlining shows and watching drummers fall in love with our stuff. For Cornerstone we are pulling out all the stops, we've got some carzy exotic veneers, some crazy wrap stuff, some classic stuff, some great paint jobs, and of course, the golf ball kit will be there. Look for us on the Main stage, the Encore/HM/Showcase stage, the Underground stage, the Gallery stage, the Grr/G12 stage, the Impromptu stage, and as always at Cornerstone, somebody will probably snag one of my spare kits (we're bringing seven kits overall this year) to play a show, or because their backline kit broke down. Frontline will be there, however, with the most durable and best sounding drums at the festival. If you happen to play one of these stages, please give me a call and tell me what you think of the kits. We'll be running around somewhere checking out some awesome shows.

Oh yeah' if your not familiar with the Cornerstone festival, check out all their info here: http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/

Hope to see you there.

New pricelist feature

April 13, 2010

Hey! If you have'nt looked at the pricelist lately? Check it out. You can now get on there and build yourself a kit. Describe what you want it to look like. See the list price of the whole thing put together. And then submit it for a quote, so that you can be AMAZED by the discounted price we get back to you with. This feature should help us get quotes back to you much sooner than in the past, and keep all of the details of your dream kit in one place. So don't forget to describe the details you want, this is still a CUSTOM shop, remember. Tell us exactly what YOU want, and we will do everything we can to make it exactly like you described it. This feature is also undergoing some tweaking in the background, so check back often to see what has changed. As always, if you have any questions about sizes or finishes or just want to get a better understanding of what makes a drum sound the way it does, or "How do I get THIS kind of sound out of my drums, feel free to call and talk to Scott. We love talking about drums around here.

Golf Balls out on 2010 Winter Jam

January 26, 2010

Hey everyone,

Check out the 2010 WINTER JAM when it comes through your town.  It's the largest annual Christian music tour in the world, and the fifth largest overall tour this year.

This year's tour includes headlining acts The NEWSBOYS and THIRD DAY

Frontline Drums and family caught the show when they rolled into Des Moines here a couple nights ago like we always do, and I (Scott) was blessed with the opportunity to chat with most of the drummers on the tour, and then had the chance to hang out with Jack Pumphrey from NEWSONG over a very stressful New Orleans Saints game (Thank God they won, I was a little concerned about Jack's blood pressure levels during the end of this "nail biter" game. Jack is a huge Saints fan. GO SAINTS! ), we quickly became friends and, of course, started talking about drums. Long story short. The connection was an answer to both of our prayers, Jack was looking for a way to keep one of his personal kits from getting beat up on these tours over and over. And I happened to have the "Golf Ball" kit still loaded up and ready to go from a show I had backlined the night before where it had taken a thorough beating, like it has from the day I finished building it. The "Golf ball" kit has been played by Hundreds of bands at countless shows and festivals in it's mere two year existence. And there are no signs of abuse (except for the occasional blood splatterings) Honestly, I'm not aware of another drumset in existence that has backlined so many shows in such a short amount of time, and still had almost every different drummer from every different genre of music come up to me after their set and tell me how much they enjoyed playing my kit and how great it sounded. I want to make sure I say thanks to all of you, if I didn't then. Anyway, The "Golf Ball" kit was easily up to the task of relieving Jack's kit for the rest of this years tour, and I'm sure that the great artist's on this tour will enjoy it also. Some of the household names that will be playing Frontline Drums this year include:

NEWSONG........TENTH AVENUE NORTH........ FIREFLIGHT........SIDEWALK PROPHETS.........ROBERT PIERRE........REVIVE

Make sure that you check out all of these bands individually and their personal ministries and make sure that you check out the "Golf Ball" kit on the 2010 WINTER JAM, hosted by NEWSONG

Many Blessings

Scott and Kim

Frontline Hardware on the way

January 19, 2010

Keep watching the galleries. We're in the prototype stages of all of the hardware that makes your drums the coolest thing out there. From bass drum spurs to the mounts and a proprietary suspension system that is sure to make other systems wish they had thought of it first. Who would have ever guessed? New drum products developed by Frontline and MADE in America for the the same price  as you pay to have a bunch of pot metal junk sent over from the far east.

whats happnin'

June 9, 2009

Hey everyone,

If you've talked to us at all this last year, your probably aware that we're in the middle of building a new facility and home. Well the end is in site, and they'll be pictures of the whole thing in the gallery soon. What this means is that I'll actually get back to emails in a more timely manner, and have time to commit to building a lot more drums. Just in time, our signature tube lugs will be unveiled at this years Cornerstone festival. look for us on the "Impromptu", the "Santuary", and the "Anchor" stages. We'll be "backlining" all three stages as well as running around checking out lots of great shows. Hope to see you all there. We sincerely appologize if we did not reply to some of your emails, in some of our updates we had to go through an O.S. change on our system, and lost some of your emails before we could reply (Always remember to back up your files on a separate hard drive or disk, and not just a partition, I'm a Drum Builder, remember). Float around our new site here, and you'll find that we're still in the middle of updating things here as well. But a much sweeter look don't you think?

Talk to soon

Peace and Blessings to all.

Scott

P.S. In case you don't notice in the contact info, we have a toll free number now, and that's really the best way to reach us to talk about drums and such, while we're still buiding (no internet at the new place untill we officially move in), and that's where I'm at durring the day, Building. So give me a call 1.866.955.DRUM(3786)
